Matteo Guidicelli was born in Cebu City. He is one of three children of Gianluca Guidicelli, an Italian, and Glenna Fernan, a Filipino.[3] His maternal grandfather is the late Cebu Provincial Prosecutor Vicente "Inting" Fernan, cousin of then Senator and Chief JusticeMarcelo Fernan making him Guidicelli's great-uncle.[4]
